Copley Square Hotel

The location is in a shopping area if you are into shopping. The hotel prides itself on being the second oldest hotel in Boston and one of the elevators looks quite elegant. There is a coffee machine in the basement.

A cramped bathroom, with no hooks, one has to think creatively to be able to hang the towels. The bed was slightly narrow for two people. The hotel has no breakfast area on their premises. The recptionist had an artistic intonation and said that we were lucky to have a room with a view. I am not sure what she meant:))

Staff was nice, good location near Boston Public library, train stations, and a shopping mall and supermarket close by.

The room was much smaller than expected compared to other places I've stayed around at the same pricepoint. Small TV was in a weird spot in comparison to the bed, very tiny minifridge, and no microwave besides the one on ground level near the lobby. Also, the water is SUPER harsh and chlorinated, even for a hotel. I'm not usually picky but after showering, an alcohol-based medication I use burned all over my skin. Careful if you have sensitive skin. Hotel was a bit loud in the afternoon, but to be expected at the location of hotel and how booked up they are. The room is good for sleeping, I definitely wouldn't stay for an extended period of time. Also the bathroom door is a sliding door that doesn't actually close well or lock.

The door to the bedroom was incredibly heavy. It swung back on itself and severely bruised my partner. Peephole to the room didn’t close which was unsettling. Bedroom door was opened unannounced early in the morning. No housekeeping announcement or anything. Really put us on edge. Front desk staff seemed annoyed we were there at all.

The location was great! The room was big.

I would have given a better score but there are no hooks, no dresser, no luggage stand. We had to live out of our suitcases on the floor. The two chairs were odd shape. Could not function as a suitcase or clothes utility. Weird angle to sit & put on shoes.
