Royal Kona Resort

The Royal Kona Resort, located in Kailua-Kona's Historic Kailua Village, is a convenient one-minute drive from Hulihee Palace and six minutes from Magic Sands Beach. This beach hotel offers 436 air-conditioned rooms, each featuring a refrigerator, flat-screen television with cable, private balcony or patio, and a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Guests can enjoy massages, body treatments, and facials at the full-service spa, or take advantage of the outdoor pool and fitness center. The resort also provides concierge services, gift shops, wedding services, and a restaurant, Don The Beachcomber. Full breakfasts are available for a fee. For business travelers, there are conference facilities and a computer station. Self-parking is available (subject to charges). Current Renovation Project --Royal Kona Resort is comprised of three individual towers in which guestrooms are located - Alii Tower, Bay Tower, and Lagoon Tower. Exterior restoration work is currently taking place at the Lagoon Tower located on the southern end of the resort property and will continue through December 19, 2026. No exterior restoration work is taking place at the Alii Tower or the Bay Tower. Guests of the Royal Kona Resort will be accommodated exclusively in the Alii Tower or the Bay Tower, unless they specifically choose to book discounted rooms located in the Lagoon Tower, which are identified as “Lagoon Tower Renovation” rooms. Please note guests who purchase the Lagoon Tower Renovation Special but then after arrival decide they do not wish to stay in the Lagoon Tower after all will be able to upgrade based on availability at the current Best Available non-renovation room rate. Resort guests may see scaffolding, repair work, and painting occurring to the Lagoon Tower during their stay. While every effort will be made to keep noise to an absolute minimum, resort guests may hear some work being done during the hours between 9 am to 4 pm.
