I have stayed at Raffles Boston before and have also stayed at Raffles Paris, so I am familiar with the level of hospitality I associate with the Raffles brand. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere and clientele during this stay noticeably different from my previous experience. There were numerous guests whose provocative clothing and behavior, including taking photographs and posing throughout the hotel, created an atmosphere that I found inappropriate and inconsistent with the sophistication I would expect from Raffles. The hotel also appeared poorly prepared to manage the situation. I was also disappointed by an incident in the lobby. I was there with my family and a couple of friends whom we had invited for dinner when a member of the front desk asked us to move aside because we were supposedly obstructing the circulation. There was clearly ample space for guests to pass, and we were not blocking anyone. At the same time, other people were moving through the lobby in a much more disruptive manner. Being asked to move, as paying hotel guests, was unnecessary and frankly quite embarrassing. Finally, our experience at the Speakeasy was the most disappointing. We were actually encouraged to visit after dinner, made a reservation, and went there with our adult guests all over 21. The person who received us was extremely rude and discourteous and demanded my passport in a manner I found unnecessarily aggressive. I fully understand the need for identification, but the way it was handled was unacceptable. Raffles Boston is a beautiful property with excellent rooms, a wonderful restaurant and generally very good service, which makes these experiences even more disappointing. As a returning Raffles guest, I expected a considerably higher level of discretion, professionalism and hospitality.

Excellent location and fantastic staff.

The room was beautifully decorated and very luxurious. The staff was lovely and very accommodating. The spa and pool were stunning. The terrace bar was breathtaking with a great choice of drinks. Excellent location near Newbury Road. Parking on-site.

The beds were not as comfortable as expected. Slightly over overpriced room for what it offers (a view to the parking lot).
