The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

The restaurant Tosca di Angelo in Ritz-Carlton HK is not recommended. Despite contacting the restaurant twice prior to the reservation, to request a window seat for a family birthday—even offering to adjust our timing to avoid peak hours—the service fell short of expectations. While staff explained the standard non-guarantee disclaimer, they strongly reassured us that the concierge would accommodate the request upon arrival. However, we were informed at reception that no window seating was available. When I politely asked if we could move once a window table became vacant, the concierge claimed an "event"(?!) prevented any guest repositioning. This turned out to be inaccurate; multiple window tables remained visibly empty throughout our meal, and a waitstaff member later clarified that the refusal was due to tables already being set for the late dinner service (6:30pm!?) when we arrived at 2pm. While I am incredibly grateful to the floor staff who ultimately accommodated us by dressing a window table for our final tea service, the concierge's dishonesty and poor handling of the situation resulted in a highly disappointing experience, far below the standard expected of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

A memorable and refined visit at Tin Lung Heen. Exquisite dim sum and main courses, wok fried lobster and waygu beef both executed beautifully. A special thanks to Mike and Anson. Both Gentleman have passion and excel what they do. A truly excellence in hospitality. Another highlight was seeing Mike has to reset a whole table just to ensure some older customers not to have minor sun facing their eyes. Small detail but above and beyond. A must visit for solo, couple, visit to HK or family gathering.
