Hotel Zaza Houston Memorial City

Room was very clean and comfortable, lots of towels and robes. WiFi worked well. Staff great and friendly.

Breakfast ok but on the two occasions I had it it was lukewarm, bacon/sausage and eggs shouldn't be difficult for a multi-star hotel. Fish and chips poor. No coffee and tea making facilities in the room although there is a station near the elevators if you wish to wander there in your jammies. Asked for early check-in in advance of arrival. We arrived about 12 (as prior advised) and clearly they hadnt even considered our request. Waited 1.5 hrs to get into room and that was after having to go back to reception to see what was happening. And of course there was an additional fee.

Beautiful interior design in the lobbies

The evening front desk staff could use a lot of training. They were extremely unprofessional and treated us poorly. The manager also didn’t come out to de-escalate the situation. I was asked to leave my bed at 1 a.m. in the middle of the night to go to the reception to look for a reservation that I had made and confirmed earlier that morning at the front desk. Instead of first checking their records with their internal staff, they chose the option of rudely harassing their guests in the middle of the night and exchanging words with my partner. Even when we showed proof that the reservation and payment had been done & confirmed earlier that morning. I was so disappointed &disgusted. The experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.

The restaurant servers are very nice and friendly.

The night front desk staff are unprofessional and cold. They do not know how to handle hotel guests in a professional manner.
