The Kauai Inn

UPDATE: After posting this review they called and left us a voicemail that we need to return the key (for the room we’re still stuck paying for, for 2 nights!). This is on the same night as check in. First review: Rough start to our honeymoon. Being a manager myself in the service industry. I understand the challenges and things that may come up. I also understand what good customer service looks like. This isn’t it. We arrived at check in time to be told the room was not ready. We waited an additional 20 minutes, were offered a bottle of wine for our honeymoon which was nice. Once we were able to check in the room was less than ideal. The photos are very mis-leading. The counters and sink are stained. Very dated 60s room. Nothing like what was pictured. Not exactly a great way to start a honeymoon. When talking with the front desk we were told too bad, we already checked in and there was nothing they could do. Was told it was through Expedia and would have to take it up with them. But we never booked with Expedia. They refused to do anything for us or allow an early checkout. We will be paying for this stay and going elsewhere during this time. P.S. your bottle of wine and glasses are sitting in the room untouched.

Awesome experience. Friendly staff, peaceful location, live entertainment, and animals! Room was clean and very comfortable.

I went here and I love cat 🐈‍⬛. I thought its name was blackie but I asked the guy and the cats name is Jason and I love that cat so much it’s adorable and go here if you like cat bc Jason loves everyone. Cute Jason

The Kauai Inn is was in a beautiful location with sweeping views of the mountains. The area is near the port and it is quiet and the perfect getaway. The amenities were awesome. Breakfast as well as tea and coffee are included. The breakfast included a good selection of pastries with cheeses and jams, fruits, yogurts, milk, and cereal. You can rent beach towels, snorkeling gear, and other beach gear for the day at no cost. Check in and check out is seamless. The animals on the property are super cute and friendly. Staff was attentive and kind. Rooms were older but very comfortable, homey, and contained all you need. Parking is also seamless. I definitely recommend staying here for beautiful views and an at-home feeling!

A hidden gem!! Friendly , clean, with a lovely “vibe “ you will never find at a corporate hotel. Highly, highly recommmed.
