We had confirmed reservations through Booking.com, and the rooms were guaranteed with credit card. When we arrived they would not honor our confirmed reservations or room rate, and they wanted us to pay over $150 higher rate per room. We would not tolerate their attempted extortion, so we spent several hours finding and booking alternate accommodations. It was the worst experience I ever had at a hotel, and Hilton’s handling of the situation was shameful and inexcusable.
