Scalded …safe showers shouldn’t be an amenity

+

We stayed on 19th floor for three nights in July 2026. Room was fine EXCEPT that hot water in bathroom was out of control. Scalding hot water with virtually no cool water to make it bearable. Why stay at a luxury property where your showers or baths (we tried both) become birdbaths at the sink. We reported this to front desk twice and by text. Never fixed. We discussed with others on 19th floor in elevator. Same issue. One positive: Kourtney in downstairs bar/breakfast. Helpful, engaging, great attitude.

Modern Midwest Luxury Collection

I stayed in Hotel Ivy when I visited twin city last month. This hotel is located in Minneapolis downtown, and it has beautiful hotel room with spacious bathroom. I love the decoration and design of this hotel. The restaurant is gorgeous, I had breakfast as well as lunch, and the food quality never disappoints me. The staff is super nice, and they know how to listen to my needs and react properly.

hotel great bar underwhelming

+

The room was good, the food and drinks at the bar were terrible. Ordered "Herb Fries with a Basil Aioli" but received regular fries with ketchup. After pointing out the differences, I was told all about the kitchen struggles. I ordered a buffalo trace double (3 oz), $34.00-- by comparison the night before at the Four Seasons Riva Terrace the same drink was $22.00 (and all their food was ON POINT). Obviously not an example of a luxury property. Stay here, but don't dine or drink here.

Very nice hotel.....spa was okay

+

The hotel is very nice. All of the staff we encountered were very professional and friendly from the valet, front desk, spa staff and housekeeping. The rooms are spacious and clean. I did love how quiet the hotel is. I never heard doors slamming and housekeeping was not banging on my door first thing in the morning as they do at other hotels if you forget to put up your do not disturb sign. The only area where I could see some improvement was in the spa and this is the main reason we chose this hotel. Once we were oriented to the Quarts Spa, we rarely saw a staff person. People had left several used towels on shelves in the spa and they were never removed in the 2hrs we were there. There weren't any clean towels in the spa area, but only in the locker room. I think the shelves were meant for clean towels and not dirty ones. Staff never came by to squeegee the wet floors. We entered the Aura Lounge and found the chairs all appeared to have been used by other guests and not refreshed. These things gave me an over all feeling of uncleanliness. I hate to leave a negative review, but I know if I were the manager or owner, I would want to be aware of these things.

Beautiful hotel, but an unbearable odor and two-hour delay overshadowed our stay.

+

We stayed at Hotel Ivy for one night with our young child. When we got to our room, there was a very strong marijuana smell. It was bad enough that we didn’t feel comfortable staying in the room as-is. The hotel worked on the problem, but it took about two hours before we could actually use the room. Since this was only a one-night stay, losing that much time was frustrating. The hotel did give us a $60 food credit, which I appreciated. However, no room change or upgrade was offered while we were waiting. Once the smell issue was addressed, the room itself was very nice. We also ate at Breva and really enjoyed the food. Overall, I had mixed feelings about the stay. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant was excellent, but I was disappointed that our room wasn’t ready for guests when we checked in.
