About This Hotel

Nestled in a peaceful, riverfront area adjacent to a lovely park, you’d never guess the four-diamond Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel is just a short stroll from the dynamic culture of downtown Portland. The Arts and Crafts inspired lobby features a stacked stone fireplace that you just have to drink hot cocoa beside. The hotel offers free use of bikes and in room yoga kits as well as seasonal outdoor sessions led by our very own on-site yogi. We’re also close to a variety of fun outdoor activities and concierges will happily point you toward nearby hiking, kayaking and fishing. Sweet.

Great room, but hotel lacking for the price

Room was fabulous! Loved the windows and view/sunshine through them.

Hotel was just okay. Was expecting a more resort feel. Pictures online made the grounds feel more private and cozy. Bit disappointing that there was no hotel outdoor space.

Keep away until completely refurbished

It is worse for wear. The carpets are old. The bathrooms are old. Fitness room was shuttered. The establishment had no black tea in rooms or restaurant. Restaurant and bar closed at 9:30. And everything was pricey. This hotel was sold by Kimpton recently so it is not Kimpton quality

Disappointing

This hotel was recently sold and is no longer a Kimpton property. We prepaid through the Chase Edit program and were not notified that the property is no longer a Kimpton property. Therefore, I paid for Kimpton amenities and did not receive them, including a welcome amenity and points credited for my stay. The hotel is run down, the rooms are and the sink in the room was filthy. I would not stay here again.
