Location is great, the cable car is just a corner away, Chinatown is close, etc. Rooms are clean.

Shared bathrooms were a thing you should really consider to avoid. It is not even like a hostel, where you have several showers and toilettes at the end of the corridor. It is just one single toilet and shower for many rooms. Also you could end up in tiny rooms, widow is facing firewall.

Excellent value for money. The hotel includes breakfast and is located very close to Union Square, making it easy to travel around San Francisco. The hotel has a charming antique feel, which is especially nice if you enjoy history and older architecture. One of my favorite features was the vintage elevator — it is still operating and looks amazing, adding a lot of character to the whole experience. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient location, good value, and a hotel with a unique historic atmosphere.

One area that could be improved is the soundproofing. Since the hotel is very close to the street, you can hear some traffic and street noise, especially at night. You may also hear people walking along the hallway and opening or closing doors. Some rooms do not have private bathrooms, so guests using the shared bathrooms can create additional hallway noise.
