It's quirky not flashy, but it's it a great position for exploring the city using the cable cars!

The Emblem is a quirky 'old style' hotel with a laid back atmosphere. We used the cafe every morning at 6am to grab a coffee to take back to our room, and the bar late afternoon, for a drink after a long day exploring the city. The hotel is with easy reach of the cable car stops on Powell Street, and the hub at Powell & Market. If you're coming into the city from the airport use the BART which stops at Powell Street Station, and unless you have heavy cases you can walk the 700 metres to The Emblem at Sutter Street.

A small fridge in the rooms would be a nice touch to keep your water and chocolate cool ;-)

Gute Lage, leider sehr hellhörig

Die Lage in der Stadt war sehr gut. Man konnte viele highlights fussläufig erreichen. Außerdem war das Personal sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sehr gut eingerichtet.

Die Zimmer waren wirklich extrem hellhörig - so hellhörig habe ich es bislang zwischen Zimmern nicht erlebt und auch der Lärm der Stadt und Klimaanlagen war in Etage 7 wirklich störend laut. Wahrscheinlich, weil das Haus sehr alt ist…
