Wonderful getaway in a charming place

+

It was clean, well equipped & quiet. Loved the quaint English charm & the history of the old building. Really enjoyed spending some time in the charming room downstairs where you can just relax, read or watch tv. There’s plenty of snacks, sweet treats & fruits you can help yourself to along with tea & coffee. Such a wonderful place to stay

Slept like a rock. Very comfortable quiet. Great shower heated toilet seat was a bonus didn’t know I needed that lol. Enjoyed my scrambled eggs perfectly toasted sourdough bread and all the fresh fruit.

Exceeds expectations!

This is a lovely historic B and B. Jack is a most welcoming host. We arrived early in the day; he took our luggage and had it in our room when we returned later in the day. There is a cozy sitting room with a TV and a fireplace where I could read while my husband slept in or took naps. Tasty snacks are available all day long including home baked goods (the Blondies and chocolate fudge were particularly delicious) and there were also savory snacks such as Chex Mix and nuts. A candy dish was always full of chocolate candies. Gluten free options were always available, but I didn’t try those. Coffee, hot chocolate and a wide assortment of teas were always on hand. We really appreciated the bottled water dispenser that always had ice cold water. Shalini’s breakfasts were simple but delicious every morning (eggs, bacon or sausage, fresh berries and a variety of toast/bagels/English muffins). She even made us fresh iced tea each morning at our request. The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and local newspaper were available at breakfast each morning which was a nice treat. We enjoyed reading a real newspaper while lingering over breakfast. The room was a bit on the small side (probably standard for San Francisco) but well appointed. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows. Shower was clean with good water pressure. Towels were in good supply and of good quality. Monte Cristo provided access to YouTube TV and we enjoyed watching the World Cup in the evenings. The home is beautifully furnished with rugs, antique furniture and lots of historic looking framed art on the walls. This B and B exceeded our expectations and I would definitely stay here again.
