The Langham Sydney

Room was luxurious, Breakfast on the balcony was exceptional. The room was very clean and well kept during our stay.

We paid over $900 a night for a 2 night stay. It was for my wifes 60th Birthday and for Fathers Day. 1) The birthday card was addressed to the wrong person. 2) The "dessert" treat left in the room was abysmal for a $900+ room, certainly didnt make us feel special. The staff did address this by sending up 2 glasses of champagne after I complained. 3). A $900+ room had no minibar 4) The view of the room, although showed the bay, it also showed an industrial estate and the back of residents homes. 5) The pool/spa was overloaded with too much chlorine that instantly stung our eyes (even after showering we could still smell the chlorine on our skin). 6) The fathers days breakfast was very below standard and very dissapointing. 7) Because we booked with Booking.com, we did not earn any Langham points for the booking - which is a ridiculous policy given the room cost over $1800. We stay regularly at the Melbourne Langham and recently visited the Gold Coast Langham. These were by far superior stays by miles. The Sydney hotel seriously is damaging the Langham Brand, and was a horrid experience for us overall.

We loved our stay at this classic and elegant hotel. Lovely room, view and amenities. Enjoyed our lunch in The James with excellent service and beautiful food.

TV reception. We should have rung reception and the engineer would have sorted it.
