The Sunset Hotel West End

The living room was great for being able to do some collaborative group work. The furniture and design was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the place had lots of good lighting.

The main selling point is that this hotel is its location. It's central, so you can walk to a lot of restaurants and points of interest around. The room was clean and quiet, we didn't have major complaints about it.

The system of having to check in by inputing all sorts of information and scanning our IDs into an app I had never heard about felt shady. Amenities were minimal, and the room felt a little old. We didn't really mind, but if you want something fancy, this isn't it.

The apartment was very clean and the location was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars. It is in the LGBTQ area so if that is an issue for you, then this is not the place for you to stay.

Spacious, airy room within walking distance of restaurants and other sites in downtown Vancouver. Bed was very comfortable and everything worked well in the bathroom. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked like it was stocked for a simple meal in, if someone wanted to. Paid parking space was always available and made it safe to go to and from the hotel. We didn't speak to staff much but staff members always greeted us as we went out and came in.
