Hotel Hive

Absolutely LOVED our stay here!!! I will book it again for sure. Parking on the street outside was easy to find right in front of the entrance, but they also have a loading zone to park in for bringing in luggage. When we checked in, the front desk staff member Rhea (sp?) was super friendly and helpful! She gave me a rundown of where to go and mentioned if I need anything, like a mini fridge, they’d send it up to my room. Great! We got one and it worked amazingly well. Note that the mini fridge is very small, great for some sodas we brought. The elevator is tiny but it’s really interesting! The walls are glass and the shaft walls were painted in a graffiti style that was so fun to look at as we went up to the 5th floor! Our room was spacious with beautifully clean, white linens on the bed. The bed was comfortable, but a little hard on the surface for me. Surprisingly quiet room for a city too. We slept well. The bathroom was a little small, but it was clean and comfortable and the shower got real hot! Score! The free coffee situation left much to be desired, but there’s coffee shops in walking distance. For dinner (every night of our stay) we had &pizza, which is within the hotel. AMAZING!!! I’ve been starved for GOOD pizza where I live and this pizza hit!! Guest service is incredibly attentive, kind, friendly, from the front desk, pizza shop, bars, and room service attendants. They brought a mini fridge to our room and it worked perfectly. Room is beautiful, simple, elegant, and clean. Street parking was close and easy to find. Shower nice n hot! The windows were big and let lots of beautiful light in. Bed linens were very clean and comfortable. AC was awesome and we could make it super cold in the room. Surprisingly quiet for a major city. We slept soundly. We ate &pizza every day of our stay! It was actually part of why we booked here because the pizza looked so delicious and it exceeded our expectations for flavor, texture, and variety!

Could do with larger/more mirrors The curtains were wonky and hard to close/open without significant effort, just on one side. Maybe just needs a touch of silicone grease on the curtain rod. Bed could use a foam or feather topper because it was hard on the surface Low water pressure in shower and the bathroom door hits the shower door. TV channels had no commercial free options and we wanted to just connect our phones to the tv but couldn’t figure that out then realized the tv had no wifi connection.

The hotel was a unique micro-hotel. The atmosphere was clean, friendly, and welcoming. Enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

We wish that parking had been a bit easier, as we had to park down the road and around the corner.
