Service was extremely uneven and inept. I didn't get maid service at all one day despite asking for it TWICE. One day they replace the single bottle of water, the next day nothing. I got a chocolate on my pillow two of the four nights I stayed.  The in-room phone was broken so I couldn't use it to request room service or the electric kettle I needed for tea (apparently everyone drinks coffee). They sent up an "engineer" to fix the phone. He said he did, but it was still broken the next time I tried to use it. While he was there I told him the alarm in the room had woken me up at 6 am. He told me he turned it off and the next morning it woke me up at 5:30 am. The maids don't speak English so you couldn't request anything from them. On site management was aware of my problems, but showed next to no empathy and did little to help.  After I returned home, I received a text from management that they were anxious to speak to me about my stay. They never called.

I stayed at this hotel because of a recommendation in Conde Nast traveler. I won't trust them again. I used to be a wine, food and travel writer so I know what to expect from a hotel. I was sadly disappointed with this property.
